Butch Cameron Trucking has been in the specialized liquid food transportation business since 1976. Our large fleet consists of power units pulling a larger collection of bulk wine tanker trailers, distilled spirits (high-proof) trailers, multi-compartment interstate bulk liquid trailers, 48′ & 53′ dry van trailers, flatbeds for boxes/bins to haul grapes and our own custom-made wine barrel racks, capable of transporting 2 barrel racks stacked, which facilitates ground loading without a dock. We also have a 22′ Insulated dry van bobtail truck with lift-gate, capable of case goods delivery. During this time we also have become the largest rental company of stainless steel portable tanks on the West Coast, with sizes ranging from 220, 250, 350, 450 & 550 gallon capacities, along with 2-Ton Open Top Fermentors. These tanks come equipped with or without cooling jackets, doors, etc. Another division within the company includes hauling water for water bottling plants, within the State of California.
The Cameron Family, actively farming here in Sonoma County since 1853, continues this family tradition to this day! This gives us direct insight and knowledge related to the wine industry. We realize the field to the crusher demands, the one storage tank to another timing, the bottling line to warehouse scheduling, along with daily, consistent seasonal changes bring to the wine industry. With our in-house shop & fabrication facility, we can adapt quickly for those custom applications, new regulations and safety guidelines. As an example, we have over 50 stainless steel trailers of various configurations, capable of hauling 6,500 or 6,700 gallons respectively, allowing for full loads with zero head space (dead air). New trailers are equipped with new fall protection ladders, while older trailers are being retrofitted. We are also fully insured with PL, PD, Cargo, Pollution, Overturn, etc. Policies are available to view upon request.
Butch Cameron Trucking has trained personnel & equipment to respond to overturned food grade tank truck spills, so as to recover product spillage quickly, as required in the new food industry guidelines. This new guideline requires that all carriers have resources, either in-house or contractual, to respond to a product spill. Also as outlined in the new transportation guidelines, our tanker trailers have seal tabs, along with seals to secure the valves and lids, protecting & securing your commodity. Our trucks carry a large variety of stainless steel fittings to facilitate loading/unloading efforts, such as 3“ Cam, 3” Tri-Clover, 2“ Tri-Clover, 2” Cherry Burrell, 3“ Pacific Coast, just to name a few.
